Fattoria de Vaira is one of the largest biodynamic farms in Italy, situated a few hundred metres from the Adriatic Sea on Clay soils with South, South-East facing vineyards. From these vineyards come the Falanghina and Trebbiano grapes which make up this wine. Hand-harvested, 50% destemmed and 50% whole bunch. 5 days maceration with their skins to extract the colour and complexity. Matured in stainless steel tanks with no fining or filtration. This is a fantastic entry-level, easy-drinking biodynamic orange wine. Fresh, lively and balanced, this beauty is packed with citrus peel and oranges, lightly tannic, rustic and natural, with lovely aromas of spice. The proximity to the sea is shown in the salinity of the wine with a zippy acidity to provide extra freshness.
