Hagloe Crab is an old variety hailing just a dozen miles from Ross-On-Wye's farm, dating back to the 1720s. Their trees are reaching early maturity and produced their biggest harvest ever in 2023. Hagloe makes a cider that is full of lemony, melony acidity with a smooth, light finish. To find complexity in this wonderful variety, Ross blended the mature 2022 vintage with their young 2023 Hagloe, as well as fermenting a third of the blend in a fabulous oak cask, producing their most fascinating, and definitely most drinkable, Hagloe Crab to date.
