Is it a sparkling wine or a beer? That's the question many ask when they discover Cassis Lindemans for the first time. Cassis Lindemans is a fruity beer made from a  base lambic of at least a year old in which a filtrate of carefully selected blackcurrants is left to macerate. The resultant beer, with its shades of dark purple and its aromas, is reminiscent of wine. Blackcurrant aromas prevail over all the other scents. On the palate, intense and sparkling with a good acidity and a bold taste of blackcurrants, resulting in a dry woody note and a sour-sweet finish.
