Bourbon Whiskey, Sweet Vermouth, Italian Bitter Aperitif. The cocktail was created in 1920s Paris by an American called Erskine Gwynne, publisher of the Boulevardier magazine. The cocktail then solidified its place in cocktail history in a book called Barflies and Cocktails written by Harry MacElhone, owner of the legendary Harry’s Bar in Paris. We have made great effort to pay homage to the classic recipe, with a careful balance of the 3 ingredients. And perhaps when you sip the drink it will transport you back to the golden age of cocktails in 1920s Paris. Drink chilled from the can, or pour into a nick and nora or rocks glass with orange peel garnish.
