Brewed by the Benedictine monks of the Abbazia di San Benedetto in Monte, in Norcia, Italy, the birthplace of Saint Benedict. Inaugurated in 2012, Birra Nursia is the monks’ way of living by the work of their own hands, in accordance with the rule of St. Benedict, while building a bridge between the secular world and the spiritual. Birra Nursia Extra has a beguiling dark brown hue with luminous ruby reflections and a creamy, frothy head. Its aroma is characterised by notes of fresh yeast, dark berries and stone fruits, embellished with a touch of cocoa. It is a well structured beer dominated by malty flavours with hints of caramel and liquor, rounded off by a warm, dry and peppery finish.
