The Cecchin family have been making wine in Mendoza since 1959. They are 100% organic in the vines and also use biodynamic practices in some areas although not all. Ferments are with wild yeast and sulphur use is kept to the bare minimum if at all. These are really characterful wines, not the usual Argentinian fruit bombs, full of vitality and vinosity. Here one notices the acidity of the grape along with dark plums, red cherries with hints of fennel, figs, liquorice and a savoury finish. This is a wine that truly sets itself apart with a winning combination of that deep, rich Malbec flavour and additional layers of complexity and elegance.
