Incredible value Sicilian natural red made from 100% unfiltered organic Nero d'avola, from vineyards located high up in the hills above Alcamo. The vines grow on south-east facing slopes on sandy soils 150-300m above sea level, in a climate perfectly suited to producing the best quality grapes. As with the Bianco, picked a bit earlier to preserve freshness. Night harvesting and modern temperature controlled fermentation result in a bright, fresh wine, medium-bodied and generously fruity, with soft tannins that balance the acidity well. Juicy plums and cherries with some Mediterranean dried herbs and a hint of spice. An incredibly drinkable, anytime wine.
