If you're not sure whether you've had a Schlenkerla beer, you definitely haven't had one. Every single beer has an aroma totally unique to this brewery, based in Bamberg, where most of the world's smoked malt is produced. Schlenkerla Helles is brewed with fine Bavarian aroma hops from the area around the city of Nurnberg. Boiled in the same copper kettles and bottom fermented by the same yeast as the historic Schlenkerla Smokebeer, lagered in centuries old caves underneath the historic brewery and maltings. Its subtle smokiness, achieved without using smoked malt, makes Helles Schlenkerla Lagerbier a unique representative of the classic lager beer style.
