PODERE PRADAROLO - EX PLANA BIANCO MACERATO 2022

The Pradarolo estate is located in the Parma hills 250-500 metres above sea level and has been a certified organic farm since 2004. Focusing on three local varieties, in both the vineyard and in the cellar beneath the farm's ancient barn, Alberto and Claudia Carretti follow strict rules and guidelines: the total absence SO2; use of native yeasts only; the absence of filtration, clarification, and stabilization or interventions such as sugaring or must concentration. Grapes are fermented at uncontrolled temperatures with prolonged macerations of 30 days to 9 months or more.

 

Hand harvested, organically grown Spergola grapes undergo a thirty day maceration, before natural yeast fermentation and aging in concrete tanks. Lively, aromatic and refreshing, yet with structure and precision. Layered with a herbaceous minerality and balanced with tropical fruit, citrus and apple. Offering a slight nuttiness and some welcome tannins to finish. Truly a gem from the region.
