Polly's ongoing experimentation with utilising oak and ageing their beers continues. Following on from the phenomenal success of last year's big, robust barrel aged imperial stouts Quinquennium and Quinquennium Reserve comes Black Brook. Brewed in honour of Polly's humble beginnings and with pride in their Welsh roots, Black Brook has been aged in Welsh Whisky casks, themselves formerly Madeira Sherry and Bourbon casks, imparting decadent and rich flavours of plum, fig, dark chocolate, and roasted coffee.
